1970's Roche Bobois Mah Jong Modular Sofa by Hans Hopfer (15 pieces)

This iconic Mah Jong modular seating system designed in 1971 by Hans Hopfer for Roche Bobois, is composed of deep quilted cushions and adjustable backrests, the Mah Jong allows for endless seating configurations—from traditional sofa arrangements to lounge-style floor seating. Its low profile and plush upholstery create a relaxed and inviting environment while offering exceptional versatility.

This example has been newly upholstered in a luxurious chenille textile by Dedar (SHAR PEI, T21004, col.003 nude), bringing a fresh contemporary interpretation to one of the most celebrated modular seating designs of the 20th century.
